Thanakorn Rojanathagoon is MD candidate at the Joint Medical Programme between the University of Nottingham and Srinkharinwirot University in Thailand. He has been fascinated and committed to the field of aortovascular surgery and has been heavily involved with aortic and cardiovascular surgery outcomes research across Europe, USA, and Asia. 

As a testament to his commitment to cardiovascular and aortic surgery, he has undergone clinical and research electives at numerous world-renowned medical centers under the mentorship of esteemed surgical professors such as the Barts Heart Centre, Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital, University Heart Center Freiburg, Oxford Heart Centre, and UCLH among others. He also serves on the Early Career Editorial Board for the Heart Surgery Forum journal and as a JANS Editor for the Cardiothoracic Surgery Network (CTSNet). 

He is currently an Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Bristol Heart Institute and was a Scientific Aortic Fellow at the University Heart Center Freiburg fully funded by the Aortic Association. He has also been awarded multiple international awards from the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Francis Fontan Fund, the Aortic Association, and the Surgical Research Society UK (SRS) among others.
