Welcome Words

Dear Colleagues

With the Aortic Arch Master Class, we invite you to a unique educational format that combines scientific excellence, technical innovation, and practice-oriented interdisciplinarity.

Complex aortic arch pathologies today require the highest level of diagnostic precision, individualized treatment strategies, and the use of advanced surgical, hybrid, and endovascular techniques. Our goal is to bring together leading experts from all relevant specialties to jointly develop integrated strategies and thereby achieve the best possible patient outcomes. The interactive concept of our interdisciplinary Master Class allows the participants to learn about the latest evidence-based experience in aortic arch treatment and to achieve knowledge about innovative surgical and endovascular techniques.

The Master Class provides the unique opportunity to experience open interdisciplinary mind-exchanges and decision-making within an aortic-team like manner.  A key feature is our innovative “Live in a Box” format: real patient cases are analyzed in an interdisciplinary manner, decision-making processes are made transparent and complemented by hands-on simulations that realistically demonstrate complex techniques.

In addition to high-level scientific presentations, you can expect two keynote lectures addressing key issues in aortic surgery:

  • Aortic Disease and Genetic Syndromes – Current Knowledge

  • The PADRE Registry – Status, Impact, Next Steps

We look forward to welcoming you to Cologne and sharing with you two days of intensive, practice-oriented, and scientifically grounded exchange.
