Prof. Gabriele Piffaretti graduated (M.D., 2000) from the University of Insubria in Varese (Italy) and spent his general surgery and vascular surgery residency training (2006) at the same academic institution, where he also earned a PhD in Surgery and Surgical Biotechnology (2010).

Professional Appointments:
Since 2009, he has been appointed as a consultant in the Division of Vascular Surgery of the ASST Settelaghi, the Varese university teaching hospital.

Academic Appointments:
Starting from 2018, he has been an Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery and earned a full professorship in 2020, now serving as the President of the Board of Associate Professors of Italy. In 2024, became the Chief of the residency program in Vascular Surgery at his academic institution.
