Gabor Erdoes, MD, PhD, is Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Bern, Switzerland. He serves as President of the Swiss Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Anaesthesia and chairs the EACTAIC Guideline Committee, and is an Associate Editor for Anesthesiology and the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia as well as an examiner for the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care. His clinical and research focus includes perioperative hemostasis and transfusion, enhanced recovery, neuroprotection/CNS monitoring, and anesthesia for complex cardiac, aortic, and transcatheter procedures. Trained in Berlin (MD) with a PhD from Semmelweis University, he has over two decades of experience in cardiovascular anesthesiology across leading European centers.
