Call for Abstract

The Aortic Association invites you to submit your abstracts for presentations at the Aortic Summit, which will be held from October 26th to 28th at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano, Switzerland. This year’s focus is topics related to / dealing with the aorta.

Abstracts should clearly state the purpose, methodology, results, and conclusion of your work. All submissions will undergo a rigorous review process by a panel of experts in the field.

SCIENTIFIC AWARD

We are extremely proud to announce that we will again present the Aortic Association Scientific Award for the top three abstracts. This award is generously supported by Terumo Aortic, a global medical device company. The purpose of the award is to recognize excellent scientific work in the field of aortic medicine, clinically as well as experimentally.

ONSITE PRESENTERS

Our top five abstracts will be presented onsite as oral presentations, giving authors the opportunity to discuss their research with an international audience. The remaining abstracts will be displayed as electronic posters, which will be available for viewing throughout the Aortic Summit 2023.

Eligibility criteria

  1. Submission of a published or accepted clinical or experimental paper in the field of aortic medicine in 2022 or 2023.

  2. Be the first author of the paper

  3. Have a maximum of 40 years at the time of submission

  4. Willingness to present the paper as a lecture during the Aortic Summit in 2023 taking place in Lugano from 26 – 28 October.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Include a short letter of motivation

  • Include CV

  • Abstracts must be in English

Important Dates:

  • Deadline for submission: 2 October 2023

  • Accepted presenters will be notified at the beginning of October
