Educational Grant 2025

We are pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Structural and Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery Fellowship at the Clinic for Heart and Vascular Surgery, Freiburg, Germany, supported by an educational grant from Edwards International and led by Priv. -Doz. Dr. med. Clarence Pingpoh MHBA.

This one-year fellowship (extendable to two years) provides comprehensive, hands-on training in the assessment, investigation, and treatment of structural and valvular heart diseases, with a special focus on minimally invasive and hybrid surgical techniques.

Fellows will be actively involved in all aspects of patient care — from preoperative evaluation and surgical planning to intraoperative participation and postoperative management. The program also includes opportunities for clinical research, participation in case discussions, and involvement in departmental teaching and academic activities.
