Target group
First to third-year residents in cardiac and vascular surgery as well as interventional radiology/ angiology.
Learning objective
After this course you will have the knowledge and skills to perform standard open and endovascular access procedures for classical surgery as well as for EVAR, TEVAR, and f/bEVAR, you will be able to make measurements for planning access for EVAR, TEVAR, and f/bEVAR procedures and you will be able to conceptually treat complications being associated with these access site procedures.

How to come to the Kantonsspital Winterthur from Zurich Airport:
By Train:
- Take the train from Zurich Airport to Winterthur Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). Trains run frequently, and the journey takes approximately 20-25 minutes.
- From Winterthur Hauptbahnhof, you can either walk (about 10-15 minutes) or take a bus to Kantonsspital Winterthur. Several bus lines serve the hospital, and the journey takes around 10 minutes.
By Car:
- Follow signs from the airport to the A51 motorway towards Winterthur.
- Continue on the A51, and then merge onto the A1 towards St. Gallen/Zurich.
- Take exit 72-Winterthur-Töss toward Winterthur-Töss.
- Follow the signs for Winterthur, and then follow signs for Kantonsspital. The hospital has its own parking facilities.
